Help my memory is failing!

So far this term, I have had to request new passwords for four members of staff who have forgotten their passwords to check e-mail, internet access. Was it such a good holiday?

We have an OS X server. People have forgotten where and how to save work. Yet another afternoon session after school. This has to be done a couple of times because there are always staff who cannot make the initial session. Glow will be great; they can log on themselves to learn how to log on, if they have remembered their password. Catch 22 anyone?

    Hi Alastair
A perennial problem if ever there was one. My feeling is staff will only remember their passwords if using them often enough.
At my school I e-mail the Day Book daily. Staff have to log on to get information. Kills at least 2 birds with the one stone: passwords are remembered and we cut down on photocopying (time and money) on preparation and circulation of daily info to staff.

Oh – this advice comes from the HT who has had to contact SEEMIS twice in the last week to retrieve her own forgotten passwords for DMR and Click and Go! It’s been a long, hot summer!!!
